Pixar Story Spine

The Questions: #1) How does the Pixar story spine apply to the texts we have been examining? #2) How does the Pixar story spine apply to "The Epic of Gilgamesh"? My Answer: As we all know the Pixar story spine goes like this: Once upon a time there was_____________. Everyday,___________. One day ___________. Because of that__________. Because of that__________. Until finally__________. So the text that we have been examining was Jason and the Argonauts. So filling in the blanks it would look like this: Once upon a time there was a boy named Jason. One day he was sent on a quest to retrieve the golden fleece so that he could gain the throne that was rightfully his. Because of that he gathered a band of hero's. Because of that some of the men were lost and he gained the golden fleece . Until finally Jason got this throne that he rightfully deserved. How the Pixar  story spine  applies to " The Epic of Gilgamesh " is complicated  because it is and kind of c...

Harry Potter and the hero's journey

The Hogwarts Letter Scene                                            &                     It's "Hero's Journey Step" The Hogwarts letter scene is when Harry is supposed to get his acceptance letter to Hogwarts, but his uncle would not let him read the letter. But they would keep receiving letters and the uncle would  keep "getting rid of them" but at the end the letters would over-power the family after hundreds of letters burst in,  forcing the "family" to move somewhere else. And then the "family" would meet Rubeus Hagrid. (I think that's how you spell it.) This scene relates to the step "Call to Adventure" because the letter will lead up to Harry attending Hogwarts, therefore later leading Harry into the Quest or Adventure, whatev...

Technology in the Classroom

Technology in the Classroom Technology in the classroom is a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. A good thing because you don't have to carry heavy books around all day ,and hand in things during the day. A bad thing because kids/ teens will play with them, they might crash, sometimes will not be charged enough so then the child/teen will get lost in homework or classwork there for lowering their grade. So in conclusion is a good and bad concept at the same time
Q: what is the definition of a hero? What is a hero to you? How has the definition of a hero changed? A:  My definition of a hero is someone who goes out of their way to help someone whom they do not know or do now. A hero to me is a Brave, trustworthy, mentally or physically strong and selfless person. The way the definition of a hero changed is that: now we don't envision a man in a skin-tight suit, wearing a cape, with a perfect face and body, now we think of a man or woman, wearing whatever, looking however. So in a way we are now all taught that not everyone is going to be perfect in every way but different in every way possible whether it be: skinwise, body-wise, gender-wise, or just in the way they talk or show emotion.
